Perfect Your Blind Crosses
6 lessons
Blind Cross is a handling technique where the handler moves ahead of the dog and changes the handling side. The dog switches sides behind the handler's back. Because the handler gets to move forward all the time and no quick turns are required, this technique is a favorite for many handlers with physical restrictions such as knee problems.
Blind Cross is a handling technique to choose when you need to be able to move forward on the course as effectively as possible. With most dogs, Blind Cross works best when the angle of the turn is no tighter than 45 degrees. If you need your dog to turn tighter, you might want to choose a Front Cross instead.
This course will offer you an opportunity to deepen your understanding about how the Blind Cross works from your dog’s perspective.
