Impulse control and arousal in dogs
In this lesson, Laura talks about impulse control! This is a vital skill for our agility dogs as there are so many points on the course that require it. Just think about the start line, this is the start of the run and requires a dog that is ready and excited to play the game to be able to hold the criteria for a start line. It's these situations that can cause ring stress and building in good impulse control will help fix arousal issues before they become a problem. Having good impulse control will help your dog become more resilient and therefore better able to deal with the trial environment.
