Mary Ellen thinks agility should be run with the dog and handler in a controlled frenzy. She likes her style of handling to be smooth and quiet. “I am not big on shouting verbal commands at the dog as I save my breath for running!” she says.

Mary Ellen loves teaching handling as she loves to watch a dog and handler team instantly "get it" when the handling is done correctly. “I have an excellent eye and can pinpoint exactly what is going on that the handler can improve upon or skills to help train the dog to foster better teamwork.”

Mary Ellen used to be a CPA (Accountant), which helps her analytical ability and understanding why she is doing something. This has proven to be useful in agility.
