Maria Aaltonen

star OneMind Dogs Assistant Coach
Maria’s passion is to work on small details so that they’re perfect. “This has both benefits and drawbacks, and I’ve had to force myself to focus more on the big picture.”
Maria usually likes to handle ahead of her dog. “But since this is not always possible, I make sure to also train ways to handle behind my dog. It feels great when I succeed in this!”
As a coach, Maria wants her students to understand why she is advising them to do something and what they can achieve by following her guidance. “Whether you’re learning to choose the right handling technique or figuring out how to perform it in the correct way, it’s important to understand each lesson deeply. This way you’ll be able to make your own choices in the future.”
Maria’s favorite topics are training the dog’s skills, optimizing the dog’s mental state and strengthening the cooperation and relationship of each dog and handler team.
