Katrina Scott
place Central, United States of America
star OneMind Dogs Instructor
Katrina likes to train and handle her dogs with a lot of distance. The challenge of finding the lines from a different perspective is what she really enjoys. Her dogs are not trained for a handler to be up close so she finds it both exciting and nerve-racking to work it differently. “I no longer have the ability to run like I used to, but I am enjoying looking at it from this view!”
As an instructor, Katrina feels she has a really good grasp of the student’s point of view. She has a great ability to put herself in their shoes and come up with solutions that they can see themselves doing. “As a bonus, I also have a great grasp of the prospective from the dog’s point of view. I feel I can advocate for handler and dog in my instruction.” she says. Katrina’s favorite things to teach are distance and contacts.
