As a handler, Jessica aims to be as precise and theoretically correct as possible. Her style is to stay out of the dog's way and not rush it. She likes to use a balance of techniques and handle in front of the dog as well as behind. She wants to have all the possible tools there are, so that no matter what she sees on the course, she has a solution.

When Jessica is coaching her students, it’s important for her to make sure they understand what they are doing and why. This goes for both the handlers and the dogs.

Jessica values details, but doesn't get too caught up in them. She is always trying to find the best way to help each team and encourage handlers to think for themselves, try new things and be brave.

Most importantly, Jessica really loves agility! “I really do believe I was put on this earth to do agility, learn from the dogs and pursue the sport as far as I can,“ she says.
