star OneMind Dogs Assistant Coach

Jamie has been involved in dog training since she was a child, as her family was actively involved in field trialing. When she moved out independently in 2002, she purchased her first dog, which was a Boston Terrier. Shortly thereafter she became involved in agility.

“Since starting in agility I have owned and handled a variety of different dogs that have presented with diverse challenges. I have been successful with dogs that have lacked motivation and that are also high drive. I have been lucky to have had the opportunity to compete in several different World events in two different height classes,” Jamie says.

As a handler, Jamie tends to run ahead of her dogs whenever possible. “I’m always trying to push my handling to improve and enhance my skill set. I love to train my dogs, teaching them new skills or improving the skills they already have is by far my favorite part of agility.”

Jamie truly enjoys all aspects of being a coach! She tries to push people to become more confident and to find success by breaking things down or adding more challenges. “It's so exciting to be a part of each handler's training journey and to witness the celebrations between each team.”
