The analysis of your performance can wait. Your dog cannot.
Dogs live in the present. That is why your dog needs to get his reward on the exact moment he does something that you want him to do again. Reward your dog for a job well done immediately after the performance. Everything else like the comments from your instructor or your training buddies, or analyzing your own performance can wait: focus on your dog first. Remember that you can't fool your dog. Be present, mean what you say and put your heart to the game.
To make timing of rewarding easier, plan the rewarding carefully before you start teaching something new to your dog.
Have fun practicing - enjoy every moment with your best friend!
