When you are hosting a OneMind Dogs seminar, or participating in OneMind Dogs training, it is important that you know what kind of training will be suitable to each handler and dog team. Finding a group of correct level for each participant will maximize the value of the training experience.

Different types of training are listed below. There are some requirements to attending certain types of training. For example, to be able to attend an OneMind Dogs Sequencing or Course Training lesson, a handler is expected to be familiar with OneMind Dogs handling techniques.
Foundation Training
Designed for
Puppies, young dogs and beginner dogs.
Required skills
None.
Training content
Foundation training consists of exercises that will make agility easier in the future. Handlers will learn to use their body language in handling the dog, and teach their dogs skills that are useful in performing agility courses later on. Read more about OneMind Dogs basic training here.
Note
Puppies and dogs that have not done any agility yet, will be doing flatwork. Some obstacles might be added to the foundation exercises for the dogs that have already done some obstacle training.
Handling Techniques
Designed for
Handlers who are not yet familiar with the execution of OneMind Dogs handling techniques.
Required skills
The dog is able to concentrate on working with the handler, even when there are a lot of dogs and people around. The exercises can be done with the bar at ground level, so it is possible to attend this training with a puppy or a young dog. No previous obstacle skills are required.
Training content
The handlers and dogs will be practising OneMind Dogs handling techniques on 1 jump.
Note
There might be handlers and dogs working on several stations at the same time, so there will be a lot of distractions around.
Sequences
Designed for
Handlers who are already familiar with the execution of OneMind Dogs handling techniques.
Required skills
Handler has been to an OneMind Dogs technique training seminar by an OneMind Dogs Coach, or has a strong understanding of the execution of the handling techniques from the OneMind Dogs website.
Training content
Short sequences where the handlers learn how to apply the techniques in a sequence, approximately 3-5 obstacles in one sequence.
Note
There might be handlers and dogs working on several stations at the same time, so there will be a lot of distractions around.
Course Training
Designed for
Handlers who are already familiar with OneMind Dogs handling techniques, and know how to apply the techniques in short sequences.
Required skills
Handler has been to an OneMind Dogs technique training seminar by an OneMind Dogs Coach, or has a strong understanding of the execution of the handling techniques from the OneMind Dogs website. Handler is able to apply the techniques in sequences.
Training content
Handlers will be working on an international type course. OneMind Dogs Coach will present the course in a thorough walk-through and go through different handling options with the handlers. Handlers will be asked to take time to practise the course first with their virtual (imaginary) dogs, before running it with their actual dogs.
Note
An OneMind Dogs training session is mainly about observing, and learning to understand what is happening and why. In OneMind Dogs training you will be spending more time thinking than running.
