What's the difference between these two handling techniques?
Briefly said the difference is in the position of the handler compared to the dog. In the Tandem Turn the dog is on handler's side. The dog's line goes to the same direction as the handler's line. The Lap Turn starts by the dog coming towards the handler. After the turn the lines of the dog and handler are again going to parallel direction.
