Karen Holik is the first of the new OneMind Dogs coaches to be introduced in our interview series. Karen and her company, On Course Agility, have hosted the very first OneMind Dogs seminars on our US Tour 2015 in Brandon, Florida.
In January 2015 Karen and about twenty other world-class agility athletes traveled to Finland to kick off the year long OneMind Dogs Coach Pilot.
"It was an honor in my opinion to join the OneMind Dogs Group and share their knowledge."
Agility has been a part of Karen’s life for more than twenty years. She has also made a career change from working in a law firm for 20 years into training dog agility full time for 8 years. Her achievements back up her career choice:
"I have been a member of the AKC/USA World team for 8 times, winning a silver medal at the FCI World Championships. I have also been a member of the WAO team winning a gold and a silver medal."
OneMind Dogs is very happy to have Karen Holik joining the pack! Her attitude towards her dogs and students is exactly what the OneMind Dogs Method entails:
"I am often told that from a distance, they can never tell if I had a fault or not in my run. I praise my dogs no matter what. It makes me smile every time I hear it. I love my dogs for working so hard for me in every run.
All good coaches give everyone their full attention at all times and give encouragement and always push their students to be the best they can be."
The best agility advice Karen has ever heard is a phrase the leading OneMind Dogs Coaches Janita Leinonen and Jaakko Suoknuuti keep telling their students time and time again:
"Trust your dog!"
If you’re quick and contact Karen now, you might still land an auditor spot for the last day of the OneMind Dogs seminar in Brandon. All participants (working spot or auditor) will get a complimentary access to some of the OneMind Dogs premium videos and articles.
