The goal of the Agility Puppy Program is to give you tips on how to build the best possible foundation for your puppy’s future agility career. The Agility Puppy Program is meant for puppies and young dogs, no prior training is required to participate in this program.
There is so much you can already do with a tiny puppy to prepare them for life’s future challenges. Little puppies are often open to new things and it is really worth using that key puppyhood phase to familiarise your puppy with all the things that he might face later in life.
Some of the agility obstacles can be a bit scary for your puppy at first (a tunnel or weave-o-matic for example) but when you make these experiences easy and fun for your puppy, he will gain confidence and the teamwork and bond between the two of you will start to grow.
You can do a lot of the exercises without a lot of room or any agility equipment. After finishing this program, your puppy will have some idea of what agility obstacles are like, he will understand how to follow your handling in some handling techniques (Backside Send, Front Cross, Tandem Turn, Lap Turn and Rear Cross) and he will gain a lot of skills that he can use on an agility course later on. The main goal of the exercises in this course is to teach your puppy that you are the best and most fun person to play and work with.
All dogs are individuals so there is not just one right way to do things. This program will give you ideas and suggestions and you can choose the best options for you and your puppy.
